In many cases, Christmas can be a difficult time of year for those who have experienced loss. Christmas is also a time to reflect on the past year’s events The date of December 21st is the date when we have the shortest amount of daylight and the longest of darkness. We’d like to invite you to our Longest Night Worship on December 21st at 7pm in hopes you take the time to reflect and/or grieve things that may be on your heart this season.
Meet at the church by 4pm if you’d like to join other on the bus to commute over to Triple R Ranch in Chesapeake OR meet us at the ranch by 5pm for an ALL-CHURCH Country Christmas Party. The children are free and adults are a suggested $5 donation to help offset the cost. Please bring a snack to share, the drinks will be provided. There will be games, a hayride and possibly a signal caller for square dancing if they are available. Wear your favorite Christmas sweater or flannel shirt and join us on December 2nd.
Join us for our ALL AGES and ALL FAMILY advent study as we look at Christmas through the eyes of Joseph. Each Wednesday at 6:30pm we will divide into age group (Adult, youth, others as needed) and go through Adam Hamilton’s book, “Faithful: Christmas Through the Eyes of Joseph.” It is a four week study we pray stirs even more excitement in your faith journey as you approach the celebration of Christ’s birth. We are asking each participant bring $10 for their book, but no one will be turned away. Come join us as we walk to Christmas through the eyes of Joseph!
As you head out to the stores to do your Christmas shopping, don’t forget those children or senior adults who may not have a parent, or living relatives close to them. Drop by our church’s Angel Tree in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday and pray over the tag you might choose and shop for. Details on when to return your gift by will be forthcoming and/or check our weekly bulletin for more details. Help make someone else’s Christmas bright and give generously.
Join us for Trunk or Treat from 5pm until 7pm. There will be a Disc Jockey, food, prizes for various costumes, and of course candy. Perhaps you would like to dress up your car and participate in that way, if so, then arrive a little early to get yourself set-up and we look forward to seeing everyone’s creativity.
We will be joining Keep Suffolk Beautiful in their Church Clean-Up Challenge once again this year. The goal is for churches to clean sections of road debris, then challenge another church to do the same. Keep Suffolk Beautiful provides all of the supplies from bright orange vest, to trash grabbers, and bags. Please consider joining us to keep Suffolk beautiful on October 6th from 9am-11am.

Our team will be facilitating a sports camp for special needs individuals as part of a new church plant in the area each morning. The afternoons and evenings will be filled with service at Helping Up Mission, Grace & Hope mission, ARC (Association of Retarded Citizens), Baltimore Reads, Jones Falls Watershed, and possibly more.
